Our Calgary client is seeking a dedicated Intermediate Energy Trading Systems Developer for an initial long-term contract engagement. Job Responsibility:
Provide front-line application support and troubleshooting for Enterprise Commodity, Risk, and Settlement clients
Develop and code small applications and scripts to resolve defects and enhance system functionality
Participate in the full development lifecycle from gathering business requirements to final testing and quality assurance
Investigate complex technical defects and provide tier two and tier three support to ensure system stability
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure project milestones are delivered on schedule
Document technical solutions and provide accurate estimates for business-specific project tasks
Identify and recommend opportunities to modernize and simplify the existing application and technology portfolio
Requirements:
Extensive experience in IT processes with a focus on development and technical business analysis
Proven background working with ETRM platforms such as OpenLink Endur, Allegro, or RightAngle
Strong proficiency in Java development and experience using Open JVS for technical customizations
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams in a high-pressure environment
Experience using version control tools like GitHub and development environments such as Eclipse
