Data Engineer | Modern Azure Stack | Auckland A well-known New Zealand organisation is undertaking a full rebuild of its consumer web and application stack. To support it, they're hiring an intermediate Data Engineer with hands-on exposure to modern cloud data platforms.

Job Responsibility

  • Build and orchestrate data pipelines from source systems into a modern Azure data platform
  • Structure data so it's accessible to analysts, data scientists and business users
  • Partner with data owners to keep quality high
  • Surface insights on customers, sales and trends, and support ML work

Requirements

  • ~3+ years as a data engineer
  • Exposure to modern cloud data platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Strong SQL and Python
  • ETL/ELT experience and a working knowledge of PowerBI or Tableau
  • Clear communicator who can hold their own with senior stakeholders
