We are seeking a talented Intermediate Planner with 5+ years’ experience to join our growing Miami team. As an Intermediate Planner, you will work under the supervision of Senior Planner, Project Architect/Project Coordinator, Project Manager and/or Lead Designer, overseeing the technical aspects of projects from construction documentation to construction administration. Experience in project types ranging from corporate office interiors, mixed-use and landlord/building architecture is preferred. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to the growth and success of our firm.
Job Responsibility:
Preparation of architectural contract drawings for purposes of bidding, landlord review and building department filing
Update Senior Planner, Project Architect/Project Coordinator or Project Manager at regular intervals as established at the onset of the project, or as requested by Management staff
Basic understanding of requirements needed to complete construction drawings
Basic understanding of requirements needed to accurately perform site verification and core plan updates in AutoCAD
Perform REBNY, BOMA or other area calculations under the supervision of the Principal, Project Manager or Project Architect/Project Coordinator.
Proficient in drafting plans and details
Strong ability to organize/complete multiple tasks accurately and expeditiously
Basic understanding of Building Codes and ADA guidelines
Mentor Junior Planners
Senior Planner responsibilities may be required depending on project scope and size
Take on Intermediate/Senior Designer role as project dictates, Project Manager to advise at onset of project.
Requirements:
5+ Years Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is required
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software is required
LEED Accreditation encouraged
License / Actively pursuing Licensure preferred
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership, organizational, communication skills are essential
Qualified candidates must include an online or PDF portfolio with their application.
