As an Intermediate Accounting Clerk, you will be a key contributor to the finance team in Toronto. This is a hands-on role focused on the precision and efficiency of the corporate accounting cycle. You will handle a high volume of transactions, ensuring that payments, deposits, and journal entries are processed accurately and on time.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare daily coding and inputting for various accounting transactions
Manage daily bank deposits, credit card processing, and petty cash reimbursements
Handle payment application posting and ensure accounts receivable records are up to date
Assist the finance team with various month-end and period-end activities, including possible journal entries
Perform general corporate accounting cycle functions to support the broader fiscal health of the department
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience working within accounting functions, specifically in Accounts Receivable (AR) and/or Accounts Payable (AP)
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, with proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word
A solid foundational understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
High level of attention to detail, superior accuracy, and the ability to multi-task under deadlines
