We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic Interior Designers to join our team, focusing on Design & Build (D&B) projects. The ideal candidate is passionate about designing innovative, functional, and visually striking office and commercial spaces. In this role, you will lead the design process from concept through completion, working closely with clients, engineers, and project teams to ensure the successful execution of high-quality fit-outs.
Job Responsibility:
Client Briefing: Meet with clients to understand their vision, goals, and specific requirements for office spaces. Conduct site visits to evaluate the space and gather essential information
Site Survey: discuss and grasp the design needs
Initial Design Concepts: Coordinate with the Leader to brainstorm ideas and develop design concepts. Create initial design concepts including sketches, mood boards, and presentations to showcase to clients
Detailed Design: Utilize design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) to create detailed 3D models and drawings
Select materials, finishes, and furnishings that align with both the design vision and project budget
Coordination: Work with engineers (structural, mechanical, electrical) to integrate technical elements into the design
Ensure designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
Coordinate with the Leader to deploy for the QS team to create a BoQ that matches the design
Detailed Drawings & Specifications: Produce construction drawings and detailed specifications for materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE). Ensure all design documents meet the client’s needs and are ready for approval. Deploy information during the construction phase to the 2D, MEP, ordering and construction departments to ensure accuracy with the 3D design
Client Presentations & Revisions: Present the detailed design and construction documents to clients, gathering feedback and making necessary adjustments
Site Supervision & Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to ensure that construction aligns with the design and maintain quality standards. Address any design-related issues that arise during the build process and resolve them promptly
Compliance & Final Inspections: Monitor and ensure compliance with Huynchi’s quality standards and client expectations throughout the project
Handover & Documentation: Lead a final walkthrough with the client to ensure satisfaction with the project outcome. Provide as-built drawings, maintenance manuals, and other necessary documentation
Post-Occupancy Evaluation: Collect feedback from the client to assess project success and identify areas for future improvement

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
2+ years of experience in commercial interior design, with a focus on office and commercial fit-outs
Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Basic knowledge of MEP
Strong understanding of space planning, design aesthetics, and project coordination
Experience in producing detailed construction drawings and specifications
Knowledge of building codes and regulations
Ability to work independently and in groups, able to withstand pressure
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Have a sense of responsibility and passion for work, open-minded and always updated on design trends as well as new materials and solutions
Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams
