Smallwood is a growing the interior design studio specializing in innovative commercial, workplace, and multi-family environments. We are seeking a creative, experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our team and lead projects from initial concept through construction administration.
Job Responsibility
Manage commercial interior projects of all sizes from concept to construction administration
Lead client presentations and coordinate with architectural, MEP, and structural consultants
Develop full construction document sets (floor plans, RCPs, elevations, detailing)
Lead FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, & Equipment) specification and procurement projects
Manage and mentor junior design staff
Review technical documentation
Ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and code compliance requirements
Requirements
7 to 10 years of professional experience in commercial interior design (workplace, corporate, tenant design)
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
NCIDQ Certification preferred
High proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential
Strong knowledge of Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and MS Office
Strong knowledge of code
Proven ability to manage projects independently
