Job Description:

Interior Design Co-worker position at IKEA Bangalore, responsible for creating inspiring home furnishing solutions that reflect IKEA identity and exceed customer expectations

Job Responsibility:

Use home furnishing competence to create home furnishing solutions in room settings, homes, vignettes and sales support areas
Contribute in gathering insights from home visit interviews and translating into locally relevant home furnishing solutions
Contribute to creation of Showroom matrix reflecting variety of styles, living situations and price levels
Secure high quality, simplicity, efficiency and cost consciousness when planning range presentation solutions
Stay updated about home furnishing, retailing and trends to contribute in workshops
Contribute to department action plan with initiatives to grow business
Respect routines and responsibilities, work together with team
Keep visitors in mind when working on shop floor, minimize disruption, ensure safety

Requirements:

Education in interior design
Visual competence with keen eye for aesthetics
Ability to generate new ideas and concepts
Passion for home furnishing, retailing, design and how people live at home
Able to draw, visualise and present ideas
Ability to work in fast retail environment
Enthusiastic about assignments and working with others in team
Good attention to detail
Practical hands-on approach to work
Basic communication skills in English
Computer proficient with knowledge of relevant software (e.g. Revit)
Retail and home furnishing experience
Experience working with interior design in retail environment
Design portfolio (mandatory requirement)
