Job Responsibility:
Using your passion for home furnishing to contribute to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market
Communicating and implementing your home furnishing knowledge to create and inspire home furnishing solutions for customers (involving customer visits) through creating in-room settings, homes, vignettes, and sales support areas that reflect the IKEA identity
Stimulating and increasing the interest in home furnishing through constantly showing new and inspiring solutions that motivate people to visit the IKEA store frequently
Setting up new room settings including painting, implementing range lighting and propping
Using the IKEA product range to show the distinct and different styles that appeal to many individual tastes and needs within the local market
Reflecting the IKEA Brand identity by creating visual impact in all commercial, sales support, and co-worker areas
Requirements:
A true passion for home furnishing and people’s lives at home with a strong ability to inspire and transform living spaces
An understanding of how to handle tasks with a practical, hands-on mindset often utilising tools like ladders and power tools
A strong communicator, capable of guiding peers and influencing stakeholders to achieve design goals
A proactive approach in completing assigned tasks and self-development on top of daily operational tasks (e.g. maintaining assigned medias, planning, etc.)
An ability to flourish in a dynamic and creatively charged environment, working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment
A working knowledge in design software such as Autodesk REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
Tertiary degree or equivalent qualification in design (Architecture, interior or industrial design preferred)
Have a minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar Interior Designer role (residential or in home furnishing retail is preferred)
