Job Description:

Interior Design Co-worker position at IKEA Adelaide Airport, responsible for creating inspiring home furnishing solutions, implementing design knowledge, and contributing to positioning IKEA as the first choice for home furnishing in the local market.

Job Responsibility:

Using passion for home furnishing to contribute to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in local market
Communicating and implementing home furnishing knowledge to create and inspire home furnishing solutions for customers through creating in-room settings, homes, vignettes, and sales support areas that reflect the IKEA identity
Stimulating and increasing interest in home furnishing through constantly showing new and inspiring solutions that motivate people to visit the IKEA store frequently
Assisting in building furniture and setting up new room-sets when required
Using the IKEA product range to show distinct and different styles that appeal to many individual tastes and needs within the local market
Reflecting the IKEA Brand identity by creating visual impact in all commercial, sales support, and co-worker areas

Requirements:

True passion for home furnishing and people's lives at home with strong ability to inspire and transform living spaces
Understanding of how to handle tasks with a practical, hands-on mindset often utilising tools like ladders and power tools
Strong communicator capable of guiding peers and influencing stakeholders to achieve design goals
Ability to flourish in a dynamic and creatively charged environment working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment
Experience with programs such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe CC Suite, and Revit is preferred
Interior Design/Architecture qualification or previous experience is preferred
