Our Communication & Interior Design Department focuses on showcasing Swedish design in a way that resonates with Japanese homes, inspiring customers to discover the joy of home furnishing and create a better everyday life. Job Responsibility:
Create functional room layouts that effectively communicate product benefits
Propose inspiring home furnishing solutions and attractive interior coordination
Develop and install functional, beautiful showroom plans that showcase better living
Plan and execute store layouts and product displays
Provide practical and aesthetically appealing home furnishing ideas based on interior and lifestyle knowledge
Share insights about life at home with other departments to support the business
Take initiative and contribute actively to achieving departmental goals
Requirements:
Degree from a vocational school, junior college, or university in Architecture, Interior Design, Fine Arts, or a related field, or relevant professional experience in a similar role
Proficiency in basic PC software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience using design tools such as AutoCAD, Vectorworks, or Revit
Strong interest and passion for home furnishing and enhancing people's everyday life
Curiosity about the impact of design on retail,product presentation, sales, and customer experience
High motivation and genuine interest in IKEA products and brand values
Solid knowledge of interior design and a strong aesthetic sensibility
Ability to create designs that effectively balance commercial viability, functionality, and aesthetic appeal
Collaborative and proactive communication style with strong teamwork skills
Flexible, hands-on approach, with a commitment to deadlines, personal growth, and continuous improvement
Basic English communication skills, or a positive willingness to develop them further
