Job Description

The town of West Newbury seeks qualified candidates to serve as Interim Town Manager during an important leadership transition. West Newbury is a residential community of approximately 4,500 residents operating under an Open Town Meeting form of government with a Select Board and Town Manager structure.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide executive leadership and oversee day-to-day municipal operations

  • Provide steady, collaborative leadership while supporting continuity of operations

Requirements

  • Significant municipal management experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in Massachusetts local government environments
  • Prior town manager, assistant town manager, or senior municipal leadership experience strongly preferred
