Compass Associates are proud to be working with a reputable care provider to recruit an experienced Interim Support Manager for a well-established nursing and residential care home in Somerset. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Interim Consultant to join a service that needs someone to work alongside the current manager, assisting with troubleshooting and clinical standards. The service is a medium size home providing general nursing, residential, dementia and specialist care across two floors. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving improvements across quality, clinical standards, occupancy, staffing and overall home performance. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong clinical credibility, excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with staff, residents, families and external stakeholders. Working closely with the home manager, you will help lead the next phase of improvement, focusing on strengthening care delivery, reducing agency usage, improving occupancy and increasing fee performance. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically strong manager who thrives in turnaround environments and enjoys making a visible impact within a service.

Job Responsibility

  • Driving improvements across quality, clinical standards, occupancy, staffing and overall home performance
  • Working closely with the home manager to help lead the next phase of improvement, focusing on strengthening care delivery, reducing agency usage, improving occupancy and increasing fee performance
  • Troubleshooting and clinical standards
  • Building trust with staff, residents, families and external stakeholders
  • Lead from the front, support team development and ensure consistently high clinical and operational standards

Requirements

  • Previous experience managing a nursing home of a similar size and complexity
  • Strong background in elderly general nursing care
  • Experience in turnaround environments
  • Strong clinical knowledge and operational understanding
  • Ability to improve occupancy, manage budgets and support fee growth
  • Strong leadership, communication and team development skills
