Robert Half Management Resources is partnering with a global organization seeking an accomplished Strategic Sourcing Manager to join a high-impact procurement team during a critical transition period. This engagement offers the opportunity to immediately influence enterprise-wide purchasing decisions, lead complex negotiations, and serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders across the organization.
Job Responsibility
Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing projects across multiple business areas, from opportunity assessment through supplier selection and final agreement execution
Conduct market evaluations and competitive bid processes to identify suppliers with relevant experience and strengthen purchasing outcomes
Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and service expectations with vendors to secure favorable and sustainable agreements
Partner with leaders in finance, legal, and operations to align procurement strategies with organizational goals and compliance needs
Assess supplier proposals and recommend sourcing decisions based on total value, business fit, and risk considerations
Oversee supplier relationship management activities, including performance discussions, issue resolution, and ongoing contract support
Develop practical sourcing approaches for indirect categories such as technology, business services, travel, and real estate
Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supporting documentation within internal systems and established governance processes
Requirements
6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management within a complex business environment
Demonstrated success leading commercial negotiations and managing supplier agreements with minimal supervision
Strong background in indirect procurement, including areas such as technology, business services, travel, or facilities-related spend
Ability to evaluate supplier proposals, run RFP processes, and make sound recommendations that balance cost and business priorities
Proven skill in building credibility with cross-functional stakeholders and influencing decisions at multiple organizational levels
Knowledge of contract terms, vendor management practices, and procurement governance standards
Hands-on, consultative work style with the ability to quickly assess needs and deliver results in an interim engagement
