Robert Half Management Resources is partnering with a global organization seeking an accomplished Strategic Sourcing Manager to join a high-impact procurement team during a critical transition period. This engagement offers the opportunity to immediately influence enterprise-wide purchasing decisions, lead complex negotiations, and serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders across the organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing projects across multiple business areas, from opportunity assessment through supplier selection and final agreement execution
  • Conduct market evaluations and competitive bid processes to identify suppliers with relevant experience and strengthen purchasing outcomes
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and service expectations with vendors to secure favorable and sustainable agreements
  • Partner with leaders in finance, legal, and operations to align procurement strategies with organizational goals and compliance needs
  • Assess supplier proposals and recommend sourcing decisions based on total value, business fit, and risk considerations
  • Oversee supplier relationship management activities, including performance discussions, issue resolution, and ongoing contract support
  • Develop practical sourcing approaches for indirect categories such as technology, business services, travel, and real estate
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supporting documentation within internal systems and established governance processes

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management within a complex business environment
  • Demonstrated success leading commercial negotiations and managing supplier agreements with minimal supervision
  • Strong background in indirect procurement, including areas such as technology, business services, travel, or facilities-related spend
  • Ability to evaluate supplier proposals, run RFP processes, and make sound recommendations that balance cost and business priorities
  • Proven skill in building credibility with cross-functional stakeholders and influencing decisions at multiple organizational levels
  • Knowledge of contract terms, vendor management practices, and procurement governance standards
  • Hands-on, consultative work style with the ability to quickly assess needs and deliver results in an interim engagement
