This role will suit a commercially minded tax professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders across the business. The Role. Reporting into the Head of Tax, this is a senior advisory-focused role within the Global Tax team. You will provide direct tax support across the group, lead on key international tax projects, and play a central role in shaping and embedding the group's direct tax strategy. While primarily advisory, the role will also include review and oversight of direct tax compliance activities managed by regional finance teams and external advisors. You will partner closely with Finance, Legal, Sales, and other functions to support strategic decision-making as the business continues to grow internationally.
Job Responsibility:
Act as a trusted tax advisor to the business, supporting senior stakeholders on commercial decisions with direct and international tax implications
Own the group's transfer pricing approach, including policy design, ongoing governance, and coordination with external advisors
Play a key role in ensuring the business is well-prepared for changes in global tax regulation, including Pillar 2 and CbCR requirements
Partner with teams across Finance, Legal, Sales, and Operations on strategic and transformation initiatives, providing clear tax guidance
Develop and embed effective direct tax processes, controls, and practical guidance to support the group's wider tax strategy
Provide oversight and review of direct tax compliance activities, supporting regional finance teams with local tax matters where required
Manage external advisor relationships and engage with tax authorities on direct tax topics as appropriate
Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and enhance existing tax processes while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance
Contribute tax expertise to finance systems upgrades and wider finance transformation programmes
Requirements:
7+ years' relevant tax experience
Strong UK corporate tax knowledge and broad international exposure
Background spanning professional services (Big 4 or top-tier advisory preferred) and in-house experience within a multinational environment
Qualified CTA or equivalent tax-focused qualification
Strong ability to form independent views on complex tax issues and communicate them clearly to non-tax stakeholders
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with competing priorities
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
