Job Responsibility

  • Provide expert legal advice and strategic business partnering with the Vodafone Partners team and the Legal & Business Integrity Leadership Team members
  • Responsible for advising on Vodafone Partners matters including negotiating related strategic programmes, advising on early disputed matters, and liaising with other members of L&BI as well as providing a key link to other business areas
  • Provide legal advice to board directors and senior business stakeholders on complex contractual matters, ensuring contractual compliance
  • Develop strong business partner relationships with key leaders across Vodafone Investments, Legal & Business Integrity, Group External Affairs, Vodafone Local Markets, Commercial Shared Operations and Vodafone Business to enable value delivery in an effective, efficient and compliant way
  • Support transformation initiatives in order to improve operational excellence, enable growth and support Vodafone in earning customer loyalty
  • Play a proactive role in the Legal & Business Integrity Team, taking on responsibility for sponsoring change programmes and projects to drive improvements, Spirit behaviours and engagement year on year

Requirements

  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to influence business strategy and protect reputation
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to give specialist advice to commercial colleagues in order to drive decisions and resolve immediate, complex and strategically important issues
  • Highly experienced lawyer, with in-depth commercial experience
  • Relevant technology and commercial acumen
  • Proven ability to operate efficiently, including delivering change programmes on time, within budget and for impact
  • Track record of raising relevant risks to the appropriate stakeholders in a considered way
  • Legally qualified with significant experience gained either in-house or at a leading law firm
  • Strong drafting and negotiating experience, with ability to provide innovative legal solutions in a fast-moving industry
  • Professional level fluency in written and spoken English
