We are seeking an experienced Interim Senior Business Partner – Housing Revenue Account (HRA) for a 3-to-6-month assignment. In this role, you will take responsibility for the full technical oversight of the HRA, while also acting as a key strategic partner to senior stakeholders. You will lead on financial management, provide expert advice, and support the ongoing development of the team.
Job Responsibility
Lead and manage all technical aspects of the Housing Revenue Account (HRA), ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practice
Provide strategic financial business partnering to senior leadership and service areas
Deliver robust financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
Mentor and coach members of the finance team, supporting capability development and performance improvement
Prepare and present clear, insightful financial reports to stakeholders, including the Deputy Section 151 Officer
Support decision-making through high-quality financial analysis and insight
Requirements
Extensive experience working with HRA within a local government setting
Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally with a recognised professional qualification (e.g. CIPFA/ACCA/CIMA)
Proven track record in business partnering and stakeholder management
Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing teams
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced interim environment
