We’re working with a growing company in the aerospace & defense industry that is looking to bring on an Interim Proposal or Capture Manager for the next 6-12 months. The Company is pursuing a $50M+ federal opportunity plus a broader pipeline of classified proposals and this position is needed to protect win probability on active bids and to build capacity for the future pipeline.
Job Responsibility
Phase 1 – immediate, deadline-driven: Support writing, organization, and compliance of active federal proposals (incl. classified)
manage schedules, compliance matrices, and color-team reviews
coordinate technical/pricing/contracts inputs to on-time submission. Focused on bids due in July
Phase 2 – sustained, FCL-aligned: Stand up repeatable capture/proposal processes (Go/No-Go, deal reviews, risk)
support IDIQ/OTA/consortium pursuit strategy
build enablement materials and transition ownership to the staff. Pursuits span NOAA, NASA, and USAF.
Requirements
U.S. citizen with active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI)
no polygraph required
Bachelors degree or equivalent military experience
5+ years of experience in defense or aerospace related companies
Based in or able to work on-site in Washington, DC (classified work in a SCIF)
Eligible under U.S. export-control regulations (EAR, 15 CFR 730–774
ITAR, 22 CFR 120–130)
Proven track record writing & managing winning U.S. federal proposals, including classified pursuits
Experience in structured methodology (e.g., Shipley)
Experience in a SCIF/classified environment
Familiarity with federal vehicles (IDIQ, OTA, BAA, RFI)
