Job Description:

The Role We need a sharp accountant to join the team located in the city of London for a 6-month stint. This is a hands-on job where you'll take charge of the daily ledger and make sure month-end goes off without a hitch. We need someone who can get stuck in from day one and keep things moving without needing their hand held. You will getting into the intricacies of the back dated data, correcting fragmented parts and supporting the CFO.

Job Responsibility:

  • IFRS Reporting: Getting the IFRS packs and financial statements ready and making sure they're spot on
  • Running the Ledger: Taking full ownership of the daily bookkeeping and keeping the trial balance clean
  • Month-End: Nailing the month-end close, from posting journals to hitting every deadline
  • Reinsurance Numbers: Handling the tricky accounting bits that come with reinsurance deals and treaties

Requirements:

  • Reinsurance Background: You've worked in reinsurance or specialty insurance before and know how the sector works
  • IFRS Expert: You know your way around IFRS rules and can actually put them into practice on a ledger
  • Hands-on Worker: You're great at the nitty-gritty stuff like reconciliations and keeping the books tidy
  • Self-Starter: You're a 'safe pair of hands' who can walk in and get the job done without a fuss
