In this role, you will be a key part of the HR team, providing expert advice, shaping policy, and supporting managers across a wide range of ER and generalist activity. If you enjoy a varied role where no two days are the same, this is the perfect fit.
Job Responsibility:
Provide clear, confident HR advice on policy, contracts, salary, bonus, and employment law
Support managers with a full range of ER cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, bullying & harassment, capability issues, and performance concerns
Manage absence proactively, including OH referrals, case meetings, return to work plans, welfare checks and wellbeing support
Lead on consultation for restructures, role changes and organisational updates
Manage redundancy and redeployment processes with fairness and consistency
Build strong relationships with unions, supporting negotiation meetings and quarterly forums
Review and update HR policies in line with legislation and case law changes
Deliver accurate salary benchmarking, produce contracts, oversee onboarding, and manage probation processes
Work closely with Talent Acquisition to ensure smooth, compliant recruitment activity
Oversee payroll changes and ensure HR Admin accuracy across the employee life cycle
Use HR systems (iTrent) to analyse trends, produce reports, and support digital/process improvements
Requirements:
CIPD qualified or equivalent level HR experience
Strong, confident ER experience, disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and wider casework
Solid understanding of employment law and best practice
Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail
Confident using HR/Payroll systems and MS Office
A proactive, solutions focused mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships across the business
