We are seeking an experienced and proactive Interim Housing Compliance Manager to lead and manage housing compliance across a maintenance service within the social housing sector. This is a key interim role responsible for ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory housing health and safety requirements, including gas, electrical, fire safety, water hygiene, and asbestos management. You will play a critical role in maintaining safe, compliant homes and driving continuous improvement across services.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure full compliance with housing health and safety legislation and regulatory standards
Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance frameworks and monitoring systems
Oversee statutory inspections, servicing, and safety programmes
Manage contractor performance and ensure delivery to required standards
Lead on audits, inspections, and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions where required
Produce clear compliance reports for senior leadership
Provide expert compliance advice and guidance across the organisation
Requirements:
Proven experience in a housing compliance role within social housing
Strong working knowledge of housing health and safety legislation
Experience managing compliance teams and external contractors
Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
Relevant professional qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH)
