Are you an experienced Research Funding professional looking for an interim opportunity? Our client, a leading London-based university, is recruiting for an Interim Grants Applications Manager to support the preparation, submission, and post-award set-up of competitive UK, European, and international research funding applications, predominantly from NIHR, MRC, UKRI, and the European Commission.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide administrative support for the development and submission of UK, EU, and international funding applications
  • Assist researchers in navigating application systems and ensuring compliance with funder requirements
  • Draft, review, and track contractual documentation such as collaboration agreements and partner due diligence records
  • Maintain accurate records of applications, awards, and project data to ensure compliance and support reporting and strategic planning
  • Support the smooth set-up of successful projects at post-award stage, liaising with finance, contracts, and project management teams
  • Contribute to process improvements and the development of an optimised service model for research support
  • Prepare management information, reports, and data summaries to inform planning and decision-making

Requirements:

  • Proven experience supporting research funding applications
  • Strong understanding of funder compliance and financial requirements for competitive grants
  • Skilled in pre- and post-award processes, including application portals, due diligence, and contractual documentation
