Job Description:

Interim Finance Manager role providing maternity cover at the Horserace Betting Levy Board, a UK public body supporting British horse racing. The role involves financial reporting, oversight of accounting functions, and working with a small team.

Job Responsibility:

Preparation of annual financial statements, liaising with government parent and NAO
Oversight of transactional accounting function
Assist with review and updating of internal financial controls
Preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets and cash flow forecasting

Requirements:

Fully qualified accountant
Strong background in technical accounting
Hands-on nature with strong attention to detail
Engaging, can-do attitude
Understanding of public sector finance is advantageous
