Stanton House is currently recruiting an Interim Finance Manager to join a high-growth, PE-backed business in London on an initial 6-month contract (with temp-to-perm potential). The role offers £400-£450 per day (likely outside IR35) and flexible working with three days in office and two days from home. This organisation is undergoing an exciting phase of transformation and scaling, offering an opportunity to play a key role in strengthening the core finance function and driving improvements across processes, controls, and reporting.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the month-end close end-to-end, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Own balance sheet reconciliations and drive improvements in controls and processes
Support the year-end close and lead key aspects of the audit process
Prepare audit packs and liaise with external auditors to resolve queries efficiently
Partner with senior finance leadership on finance transformation initiatives
Oversee outsourced finance activities, including payment runs and governance
Support improvements in reporting through ERP systems (NetSuite highly desirable)
Conduct balance sheet “clean-up” activities to improve accuracy and integrity of financial data
Build strong relationships with operational stakeholders to enhance financial insight
Requirements:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 2–3+ years PQE
Strong technical accounting experience, particularly around month-end and audit
Proven experience in a hands-on Finance Manager role within a fast-paced environment
Experience leading or heavily supporting the audit process
Strong systems skills (NetSuite experience highly desirable)
Experience working in a PE-backed or high-growth business is advantageous
Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a changing environment
