Job Description:

You will be tasked with supporting the wider Finance Team in financial accounting, monthly management accounts & annual statutory accounts. You will provide business critical analysis & insights to support decision making across the business as well as various reporting requirements. You will also find regular exposure & dialogue within FP&A as well as working closely with the core financial reporting team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Critical Audit & Project support
  • Post journals, review costs & P&Ls
  • Support preparation of month end reporting for management
  • Monthly reconciliation of more complex balance sheet accounts
  • Support the Cash & Banking Team with complex reconciliation
  • Support Accounts Payable in managing creditor accounting & reconciliation
  • Support concessions accounting
  • Involvement in the preparation of annual budgets
  • Draft technical accounting papers as require
  • Accounting support for non-routine transactions
  • Coordinate audit requests during the audit process and acting as a contact for the auditors
  • Business partnering with the wider business to provide financial support and ensure commercial awareness and that accounting implications are considered
  • Work closely with the FP&A team to ensure consistency in reporting
  • Ad-hoc project work as required by the business
  • Ad-hoc process improvement work as required by the business

Requirements:

  • Experienced qualified Accountant
  • Ideally Big 4 or Audit Trained
  • CA Qualification: ICAS or equivalent level/experience
  • High level of competence in Excel and experience with financial reporting tools
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of margin management and cost control
  • Ability to challenge improvements in processes & working practices
  • Prepared to bring instant value-add in helping the business achieve their goals
