Job Description:

This is a hands-on position with an investment management firm reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own and operate cloud infrastructure across Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, including network architecture, availability, and cost optimization
  • Define and execute the firm’s cybersecurity strategy, embedding security into cloud and application architecture
  • Lead identity and access management, zero-trust controls, endpoint security, and incident response readiness
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for trading, research, and core business systems
  • Act as primary point of contact for investor due diligence, audits, and security reviews (e.g., SOC 2 readiness)
  • Manage infrastructure and security vendors
  • evaluate tools and platforms (build vs. buy)
  • Partner with leadership to translate technical risk into clear business and investment impact

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in infrastructure, cloud, and/or security leadership roles
  • Deep hands-on experience designing and operating AWS and Azure environments
  • Proven background in cloud security architecture, IAM, network security, and incident response
  • Experience supporting financial services, investment management, or regulated environments strongly preferred
  • Comfortable operating as both a strategic leader and a hands-on problem solver
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical teams and senior stakeholders
