Job Description

A North Carolina hospital is seeking their next Interim Director of Critical Care! The Interim Director of Critical Care will be responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations throughout the department. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), this leader will be responsible for leading approximately 8+ FTEs and will oversee clinical operations throughout the ICU and Med/Surg units. This leader will focus on ongoing departmental initiatives including quality, patient care, inpatient experience, and risk management. Ideal candidates will be strong leaders who will harbor a positive work environment by encouraging strong collaboration, communication, and engagement. Must be available to start within 2–3 weeks of acceptance.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversight of day-to-day operations throughout the department
  • Leading approximately 8+ FTEs
  • Overseeing clinical operations throughout the ICU and Med/Surg units
  • Focusing on ongoing departmental initiatives including quality, patient care, inpatient experience, and risk management

Requirements

  • BSN is required
  • MSN is strongly preferred
  • Active RN license is required
  • ACLS certification is required
  • Must be available to start within 2–3 weeks of acceptance
