Job Description:

The Interim Credit and Collections Manager is responsible for establishing and leading enterprise-wide credit risk, collections, and accounts receivable processes. This role partners closely with multiple business units to optimize cash flow, mitigate credit risk, and ensure accurate and timely receivable reporting. The position owns credit policy execution, customer credit evaluations, dispute resolution, and continuous improvement of AR performance metrics.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review and approve new customer applications and credit terms
  • Approve credit limits and perform risk assessments
  • Release orders based on credit status
  • Monitor cash application to ensure payments are applied correctly
  • Manage credit card processing
  • Maintain credit hold codes in CMS
  • Review and resolve negative AR balances
  • Prepare and distribute the AR Aging report with commentary
  • Calculate and post the bad debt reserve
  • Review and accrue credit/debit memo activity
  • Prepare sales tax reporting
  • Prepare Top 10 AR reporting with commentary
  • Prepare dealer commission reporting
  • Perform cash reconciliation

Requirements:

  • Strong background in credit and collections (5 to10 years)
  • Experience reviewing and setting credit limits
  • Release orders based on credit status
  • Ability to manage AR aging and follow up on past-due accounts
  • Experience working with customer credit applications and risk assessment
  • Good communication skills to work with Sales and customers
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferred: Lotus Notes, Epicor CMS, Salesforce, BlackLine, and OneStream)
  • Experience supporting month-end close activities (bad debt reserve, AR review, accruals)
  • Monitor cash application to ensure payments are applied correctly

Nice to have:

Experience with major ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP is a plus
