Job Description:

Our team is working with a great client in the renewables manufacturing industry seeking a Cost Accounting expert for an interim assignment. This company is a leading manufacturer in the solar/renewables industry and they are seeking an expert to assist with cost accounting in a high-volume environment, including managing standard costs, variance analysis, and inventory reconciliations. This role is hybrid and will be onsite 4 days/week. This position will also partner with Operations to create and maintain standard costs and BOM/routing accuracy. This team fosters a collaborative culture in a team-oriented environment, within a larger, publicly-traded company. There is a potential for converting this position to a permanent, full-time role, making it a great opportunity for any Cost Accountant excited about growing a career in the renewable energy space.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with cost accounting in a high-volume environment, including managing standard costs, variance analysis, and inventory reconciliations
  • Partner with Operations to create and maintain standard costs and BOM/routing accuracy

Requirements:

  • Education: Accounting, finance, or related degree required
  • Experience: 5-10+ years of total work experience, with at least 5+ years specifically in manufacturing cost accounting
  • Strong personality, willingness to train and share knowledge, and proactive in identifying and resolving problems
  • Experience with Epicor Kinetic or similar manufacturing focused ERP systems
  • Excel: Mid-to-advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reconciling several hundred lines of data)
