Job Description:

Interim assignment for approx 10 months. Hybrid working -3 days a week in the office in Uxbridge. Rate £500-680 per day (outside IR35).

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the implementation and embedding of Senior Accounting Officer (SAO), Corporate Criminal Offence (CCO) and Failure to Prevent Fraud (FTPF) controls frameworks
  • Evaluating and stress testing controls to make improvements and work with the business to improve controls
  • Evaluating future risks in these areas
  • Deep dive into SAO controls relating to VAT and working closely with operational leaders on improving Customs Controls
  • Creating a Controls and Compliance framework and policies relating to CCO and FTPF
  • Reviewing, assessing and strengthening compliance controls across the business
  • Identifying control gaps and risk areas, and designing remediation actions
  • Partnering with external consultants, Finance, Tax and Operational stakeholders to embed controls

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant, ACA, ACCA or equivalent
  • Highly technical controls background including previous Tax, VAT, Customs controls and Financial controls
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management experience
  • Experience documenting and delivering controls policies and frameworks in complex, fast-paced organisations
  • Proven experience working with SAO Controls
  • Comfortable operating autonomously
  • Experience working with SAP would be very useful

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to CCO and FTPF Controls
  • Experience working with SAP

  • Communicate with local banks in case of any issues
  • Handle internal customer inquiries and inquiries from outsourcing partners or authorities
