Interim Controller

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including financial reporting, monthly closings, and preparation of accurate financial statements
• Analyze financial performance by comparing monthly results to budgets and previous years, providing clear explanations for variances
• Support external audits and quality of earnings engagements by preparing schedules and delivering accurate documentation
• Partner with the assistant controller to manage daily accounting processes, including accounts receivable/payable, inventory, payroll, and revenue recognition
• Develop and enhance internal controls, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
• Monitor inventory accounting, oversee cycle counts, and coordinate with external partners to ensure accuracy
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering attention to detail and onboarding new staff as needed
• Ensure the organization is audit-ready and maintain financial accuracy to support due diligence processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a controller or senior-level accounting position
• Previous experience with financial transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, or audits is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software, including Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, and Excel, with familiarity in system migrations being a plus
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, paired with clear and effective communication abilities
• Ability to work onsite in Carrollton, Texas, with occasional remote flexibility
• All candidates are required to undergo screening due to the company’s licensed security status
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and asset tracking systems
