This long-term contract role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage accounting operations while collaborating with a skilled team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and a passion for maintaining accuracy and compliance in a dynamic environment.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including financial reporting, monthly closings, and preparation of accurate financial statements
Analyze financial performance by comparing monthly results to budgets and previous years, providing clear explanations for variances
Support external audits and quality of earnings engagements by preparing schedules and delivering accurate documentation
Partner with the assistant controller to manage daily accounting processes, including accounts receivable/payable, inventory, payroll, and revenue recognition
Develop and enhance internal controls, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
Monitor inventory accounting, oversee cycle counts, and coordinate with external partners to ensure accuracy
Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering attention to detail and onboarding new staff as needed
Ensure the organization is audit-ready and maintain financial accuracy to support due diligence processes
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in a controller or senior-level accounting position
Previous experience with financial transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, or audits is strongly preferred
Proficiency in accounting software, including Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, and Excel, with familiarity in system migrations being a plus
Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, paired with clear and effective communication abilities
Ability to work onsite in Carrollton, Texas, with occasional remote flexibility
All candidates are required to undergo screening due to the company’s licensed security status
Strong knowledge of inventory management and asset tracking systems
