Job Description:

Interim CFO | Fast-Growth Consumer Brand | 18-Month FTC | Gloucestershire / Hybrid. Harmonic are proud to be partnering with a fast growth consumer brand on the hire of an Interim CFO to guide the business through its next phase of growth. The company has seen exceptional momentum across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels and is now strengthening its leadership team with a commercially minded, hands-on CFO who can bring structure, clarity, and strategic direction. You'll join an entrepreneurial senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, upgrading systems, and supporting operational scalability as the business continues to grow at pace.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own financial strategy, cash management, and long-term planning during a period of rapid expansion
  • Partner with the SLT to translate performance into clear, actionable insights
  • Lead the production of high-quality board packs and commercial reporting
  • Support scaling across multi-channel operations (retail, wholesale, D2C)
  • Lead the transition from Xero to NetSuite (or similar), owning system selection and implementation
  • Strengthen internal controls, processes, and financial frameworks
  • Drive automation and improvements in data integrity & reporting
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to the finance team
  • Uplift capability across the team and embed a high-performance culture
  • Develop improved modelling, forecasting, and scenario planning
  • Support margin analysis, cost management, and pricing strategy
  • Contribute to discussions around investment, fundraising, and future expansion

Requirements:

  • Experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance leader within a fast-growth SME
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / ICAS)
  • Proven track record in finance systems upgrades (NetSuite beneficial)
  • Strong process-builder with the ability to implement controls in a scaling environment
  • Commercial mindset and confidence working with non-finance leaders
  • Experience managing and developing small, high-performing teams

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to consumer products, FMCG, retail, e-commerce, or multi-site environments
  • Experience with stock, supply chain, or light manufacturing operations
