Job Description:

Stanton House is currently recruiting an Interim Auditor for a Large Logistics Business on a 3-6 month contract. This role has arisen to support the finance team through a period of increased audit and reporting activity. The team is managing multiple workstreams and is seeking an adaptable, audit-trained professional to provide immediate support.

Job Responsibility:

  • Document and test balance sheet audit evidence in Blackline to support the delivery of key SOX controls
  • Support the KPMG external audit
  • Assist with the BDO audit
  • Provide R2R support, including balance sheet analysis, reconciliations, and testing
  • Handle day-to-day Blackline queries and changes
  • Provide ad-hoc technical accounting support where required

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong audit background, ideally Big Four trained
  • Experience in independently testing and documenting audit evidence
  • Solid balance sheet knowledge, including accruals and prepayments
  • Exposure to large corporate or PLC environments
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and flex across multiple workstreams
  • Strong communication skills and a hands-on, adaptable mindset
