Interim AP Manager | Luxury Retail Brand | London/Hybrid. Harmonic are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a rapidly expanding international consumer brand in their search for an experienced Interim AP Accounts Payable Manager an initial 4 month contract (Inside IR35) - highly likely to extend. Having grown significantly across multiple regions and backed by world-class investors, the business is continuing its impressive upward trajectory. This opportunity will appeal to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoys bringing structure, technical rigour, and leadership to a maturing finance function. The Role: Working closely with the wider senior finance team, this is a pivotal role with high levels of ownership and autonomy on offer while the business undergo a companywide systems transformation project. The role will require complete oversight of the AP function, overseeing the end to end process, ensuring smooth operations and building appropriate governance and controls. You will be responsible for line managing a team of 5, providing mentorship and development during this period of transition. This will be a hybrid role with 3 days a week required in office, working collaboratively across multiple departments within the business.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure the AP team is paying suppliers in line with agreed payment terms
  • Build appropriate governance and controls to ensure duties are implemented and internal controls are in place to reduce risk of missed payments
  • Ensure smooth operation of the payment process and adequate checks in place to ensure correct payments are made
  • Ensure that correct coding is in place to ensure that accounting information is correct and reliable for accurate financial analysis and reporting in terms of department budgets and P&Ls
  • Improve reporting and insights to support month-end analysis
  • Work with the financial control team to ensure that financial postings are insightful for financial control
  • Manage AP team of 5 individuals provide meaningful and real-time feedback to employees to ensure internal development

  • Maintain audit readiness by organizing documentation, responding to audit requests, and reinforcing compliance with internal controls and financial procedures
