We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Dallas, Texas. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of accounts payable functions during a period of organizational growth. You will collaborate closely with the team to maintain workflow efficiency, troubleshoot challenges, and support process improvements. This is a 3-month contract position. 100% ONSITE in Dallas, Texas 75240
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the accounts payable workflow, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
Review and match purchase orders, resolve issues with delinquent invoices, and obtain necessary approvals
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving accounts payable-related challenges, especially those arising from recent changes and acquisitions
Ensure compliance with established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency by implementing process improvements and automation strategies
Support vendor relationships by prioritizing critical payments and addressing concerns
Utilize business process automation tools, such as NextProcess, to streamline operations and improve accuracy
Collaborate with management to monitor and improve accounts payable workflows
Provide guidance and expertise in the use of systems like Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365
Maintain accurate records and reports to support financial audits and reconciliations
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial roles
Strong proficiency in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding, check runs, and ACH payments
Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting
Familiarity with Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 is highly preferred
Experience with business process automation tools, such as NextProcess, is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail under tight deadlines
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Demonstrated ability to uphold compliance and internal controls within financial processes
Nice to have:
Familiarity with Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 is highly preferred
Experience with business process automation tools, such as NextProcess, is a plus
