Work on defining concepts, strategies and digital interface to design artefacts at a project level. You'll have a strong appreciation for service and interaction design and technology, as well as the ability to elegantly adapt designs across devices; and you'll work across the entire end-to-end experience.
Job Responsibility:
Support in solving end-to-end design problems, from identifying user/business needs and generating concepts to defining and creating products and services
Communicate design concepts to internal and external stakeholders for digital products through various artefacts
Explain, discuss, and justify design decisions effectively
provide and receive constructive design feedback
Support the detailed definition of interaction design based on relevant business, technical and design considerations
Support and execute design research activities
Synthesise research to uncover insights and design rapid prototypes for stakeholder testing
Explore and push the boundaries of design by working with emerging technologies such as Generative AI, voice, and mixed reality
Work collaboratively with other designers, innovation practitioners, data scientists, and strategists
Support the wider project team in the day-to-day execution of the project plan
Act as a design ambassador for The Dock by attending and leading community events, workshops, and conferences
Requirements:
Strong visual communicator who creates artefacts to share insights with stakeholders
Comfortable collaborating closely with software engineers, data scientists and subject-matter experts
Experience with the creation and delivery of digital products and services
Experience working in agile teams
Experience transferring proofs of concept for implementation
Portfolio required for application
Nice to have:
Ability to create concept models at both the user and systems level
Fluent in articulating the links between client problem, human experience and their team's proposed solutions from a business value perspective
Curiosity, interest, and experience in experimenting with emerging technologies
Strong understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
Understanding of other design specializations, including but not limited to Visual Design, Content Design, and Business Design
