Fixed term, full time (43 hours per week) and part time (21.5 hours per week) opportunities available. Appointment period: 2027 Clinical Year – 1 February 2027 to 6 February 2028. The Intensive Care Unit at Austin Health operates 4 pods totalling up to 30 beds including 3 cardiac surgery recovery beds. The unit admits general adult surgical and medical patients for both intensive and high dependency care. It is also the state referral centre for spinal cord injuries, acute hepatic failure and liver transplantation. The Austin is accredited by the College of Intensive Car of Australia and New Zealand as a C24 Training institution. The department has an important role in post-graduate and under-graduate teaching, has a strong research structure and a very active research program.
Job Responsibility:
Provide care of patients in the intensive care unit
Participate in Outreach services under the supervision of the intensive care consultant
Meet the standards set by the department
Participate in the Austin Health performance appraisal program
