Job Description:

The Integration Technician will play a key role in the integration of sales orders to meet customer requirements. Daily duties include managing technical sales order build-outs. These orders would encompass servers, storage, networking, and rack build-outs to meet customer outcomes and ship dates.

Job Responsibility:

  • Configure servers, storage subsystems, networking devices, and workstations
  • Integrate hardware and configure software applications to customer requirements
  • Perform racking, stack, cabling, and documentation of rack build-outs
  • Manage customer sales orders to meet the required ship date
  • Update firmware, bios, and configurations to meet customer requirements
  • Install operating systems and hypervisors
  • Perform imaging and asset tagging of customer assets
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support
  • Communicate with sales teams about any impact on order status
  • Assist with customer questions regarding systems
  • Conduct technical research (online, telephone, or documentation)
  • Troubleshoot system configuration conflicts

Requirements:

  • Minimum Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of three years of related experience and/or training
  • Experience working in a Windows environment as well as Linux
  • Demonstrated competency in conducting technical research to support troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical support to sales staff and customers is required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization
  • Must be professional both in appearance and demeanor
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Must be team-oriented and be able to work overtime
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
