An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a major telecommunications network provider as an HFC Integration Engineer. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing a sophisticated multi-technology network mix. You will take a lead role in coordinating and executing core hardware and firmware upgrades, node split migrations, and RF spectrum changes. Working under the guidance of the Network Implementation Manager, your primary focus will be to successfully deploy critical network capacity programs while minimising customer service impacts and optimising overall customer experience.
Job Responsibility
Planned Change Requests: Assist in validating and submitting planned change requests to ensure they are generated with sufficient lead time
Node Splits & Migrations: Coordinate and execute Node Splits & migration activities, aligning all key stakeholders to deliver works within tight timelines
Network Elements Upgrades: Complete crucial Hardware & Firmware upgrades to ensure the network is uplifted per established schedules
Spectrum Management: Complete Spectrum changes in the DOCSIS Platform to ensure the platform scales effectively in accordance with demand
Process Improvement: Help develop functional competencies through continuous process and procedure improvements
Requirements
Telecommunications Background: A minimum of 3 years of experience within telecommunications or IT environments, with a specific focus on capacity and performance management
HFC & FTTx Expertise: At least 2 years of experience within telecommunications operations, specifically focusing on HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) and FTTx technologies
Technical Knowledge: Strong background in DOCSIS technologies, DONS environments, and data analytics for HFC (including RF spectrum management and Optical Node Splitting)
Hardware Familiarity: Proven experience working with ARRIS Hardware, including E6000, CHP500, and ARRIS modems
Qualifications: A Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications, Electrical, or equivalent tertiary/technical qualifications
Soft Skills: High level of organisational, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight, conflicting deadlines
