We are seeking an experienced Integration Designer / Development Lead (TIBCO) to play a critical role within the Vodafone UK technology landscape. This position sits at the heart of the integration layer, one of the most business‑critical components of the overall application ecosystem. The role combines end‑to‑end solution design ownership with hands‑on development responsibility, ensuring high‑quality, scalable, and performance‑optimised integration solutions across releases.
Job Responsibility
Represent the integration domain during end‑to‑end requirements analysis and solution design for each release
Design and build optimised integration solutions that ensure strong performance and efficient resource utilisation
Develop and implement designs using TIBCO integration technologies
Own high‑complexity solution designs and implementations within the assigned scope
Review, guide, and optimise deliverables produced by development team members
Apply integration standards, patterns, and best practices consistently across solutions
Operate effectively across both agile and waterfall delivery models
Act as the final escalation point for critical production issues with significant business impact
Identify process inefficiencies and drive improvements through automation or other innovative approaches
Ensure end‑to‑end delivery of assigned projects to agreed timelines and quality standards
Proactively identify risks and escalate issues at an early stage
Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders using a collaborative, outcome‑focused approach
Requirements
5–9 years of hands‑on design and development experience using TIBCO technologies
Highly proficient with TIBCO EMS (7.x / 8.x), BusinessWorks (5.x / 6.x), ActiveSpaces, APIX, adapters, and SDKs
Experienced in application and internet gateways, core Java, JMS, Oracle SQL, caching techniques, encryption standards, microservices, and security
Knowledgeable in defining Common Data Models (CDM) and TMF models
Comfortable working in complex, high‑pressure, and fast‑changing environments
Confident in leading technical discussions and clearly articulating ideas to influence stakeholders
Skilled in mentoring, coaching, and developing technical capability within the team
Demonstrates strong ownership, accountability, and role‑model behaviour
Brings exposure to the telecoms domain (desirable but not mandatory)
Holds a B.E / M.E / M.Tech in Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science or IT, or an MSc / MCA in a relevant discipline
