Job Description

The Danaher Business System Leader (Continuous Improvement Leader) is responsible for promoting and facilitating the successful implementation of the Danaher Business System (DBS) at Danaher companies, allowing those sites to meet their Policy Deployment (PD) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets. The Integrated Solutions DBSL is specifically responsible for the deployment of the appropriate DBS tools within the Automation, Digital and Learning, Enterprise and Integrated Solutions teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner with the Business Unit VP&GM to drive targeted improvement across the assigned teams aligned with the team’s objectives by promoting the diagnosis of process obstacles and providing expert counsel on appropriate DBS tools to address gaps in performance
  • Ensure impactful, successful kaizen events within the team by installing and ensuring compliance to the kaizen process, including planning of kaizen events with a dynamic funnel process tied to daily management, kaizen event execution and sustainment of kaizens
  • Partner with the team to identify gaps in DBS capability and manage the Certified Practitioner funnel for the team
  • Directly provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching across the team
  • Drive DBS Fundamentals and culture into the team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Business or equivalent
  • 10+ years of work experience as a practitioner in Science, Engineering, Marketing or Strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations, and ability to design, develop, and implement a DBS roadmap for a business
  • Demonstrated strong leadership experience and influencing skills, with success in driving results with DBS
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional teams with ability to work and execute across boundaries and matrices
  • Ability to travel internationally >25%

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated commitment to DBS Fundamentals, holding a CP (Certified Practitioner) or ACP (Advanced Certified Practitioner) in VSM (Value Stream Map), TPI (Transactional Process Improvement), PSP (Problem Solving Process) or Daily Management (DM) and/or relevant Innovation/Commercial tools
  • Product Management (Value Proposition) and/or Commercial (Value Selling) and/or execution of complex customer projects
