Job Description

The Integrated Program Assistant will provide support to tenants in the receiving and managing of work orders and provide referrals to clients regarding employment and education by providing administrative support.

Job Responsibility

  • Collecting and analyzing information from clients in order to make recommendations for applicants to receive community housing, child care, and social assistance

Requirements

  • Successful completion of secondary school (Grade 12) education
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of related experience preferably in the municipal social services or employment services field
  • Effective oral and written communication, organization, and problem-solving skills and ability to do so with minimal supervision
  • Ability to understand and interpret provincial statutes, regulations, and policies pertaining to program delivery services
  • Ability to work with computer programs relevant to client files, third-party inquiries, and data collection
  • Knowledge of local programs that will be of assistance to clients
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Valid Ontario class 'G' driver’s license with access to an appropriately insured vehicle as required for employment-related use
  • Successful completion of a diploma in the Social Sciences field from a recognized college with Canadian accreditation is considered an asset
  • Bilingualism will be considered an asset

  • Assist in characterizing project technical and programmatic risks, develop risk mitigation plans, and track risks throughout the project life cycle
