The Integrated Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the East Region, West Region or North Region will be a key contributor to our first-class care team at Prosano Health Solutions. This person will deliver on our commitment to excellence to our patients and help us grow through their role and will have end-to-end responsibility for the direct patient care experience navigation. This role is core to partnering with the care team in supporting patients in their journey toward their best health. This position has an emphasis on customer/patient care excellence, privacy, compliance and serving in a dynamic health setting.
Job Responsibility:
Support MA duties on site as well as travel to other Prosano clinics in a designated region as needed with a minimum of 3 Prosano sites/clinics in scope
Standardize MA competencies aligned to business Desk Level Procedures across all Prosano Care Centers
Assist with the facilitation of Medical Assistant new hire onboarding tasks/responsibilities
Serve as training support/mentor to medical assistants
Review and update established MA checklists to ensure MA skills in a designated region are aligned to job requirements
Follow established protocol to upskill MAs when gaps are identified
Perform the standard MA functions, when needed: Establish a strong rapport with the patient, to include delivering an exceptional patient care experience
Prepare patients for their visit to include communicating details around their scheduled visit, explaining all relevant information clearly, taking vitals, and completing updates to patient records as required
Perform Veni puncture and phlebotomy processing
Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and ensure clean instruments are available for the daily care center operations
Assist provider with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies
Working hours may include extended hours
This position requires 100% on-site work at the care center location and will involve travel between a minimum of the 3-4 clinics assigned
Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal skills to include maintaining courteous, friendly, and effective communication with patients, team members and external parties
Electronic Medical Records experience
Customer service orientation and experience
Effective communication skills across multiple modalities
Strong collaboration skills
Empathy and advocacy
Exceptional organizational skills and detail oriented
The ability to always maintain confidentiality
High school diploma or GED
2 years Medical Assistant/LPN experience in an outpatient care setting
2 years’ experience training and leading others
MA Board Certified or Board Registered Medical Assistant required or an active, current and unrestricted license to practice in the state of Arizona as an LPN
2 years phlebotomy experience
A Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire
An active Arizona fingerprint clearance card
An Active Arizona Driver’s license with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation
