The Hillgrove hotel & spa, part of the are currently seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Integrated Fitness & Swim Instructor to join our dynamic Leisure Team. This dual-role position is ideal for a motivated professional who is passionate about health, fitness, and water-based activities, and who enjoys delivering high-quality experiences to a diverse range of members and guests. The successful candidate will deliver engaging fitness sessions and structured swimming instruction while maintaining the highest standards of safety, service, and professionalism.

Job Responsibility

  • Design & deliver safe, effective, and engaging fitness classes and gym floor support tailored to a range of abilities
  • Provide professional guidance on exercise techniques and programmes
  • Support members and guests in achieving their health and fitness goals
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming fitness environment
  • Deliver swimming lessons to individuals and groups across various age groups and abilities
  • Support learn-to-swim programmes and stroke development
  • Ensure pool safety standards and safeguarding procedures are strictly followed
  • Promote confidence and competence in the water
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times
  • Adhere to health & safety, safeguarding, and company policies
  • Assist with leisure centre operations as required
  • Act as a positive ambassador for the organisation

Requirements

  • Recognised Fitness Instructor qualification (Level 3 preferred)
  • Recognised Swimming Instructor qualification (e.g. Swim Ireland/STA/ASA or equivalent)
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for health, wellbeing, and customer experience
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
  • Pool lifeguard qualification

Nice to have

  • Experience working within a hotel or leisure centre environment
  • Previous experience delivering group fitness classes
