The IDS Lead is responsible for taking the IDS team to the next level of growth and development and leading the Integrated Delivery Solutions (IDS) organisation in Poland. This role combines strategic direction with hands-on operational management to ensure IDS delivers growth, high-quality, cost-effective engineering and project support services to multiple UK and international business units. The role provides leadership across organisational design, resource management, and service delivery, ensuring IDS operates as a sustainable, scalable, high-performing extension of project teams. A key focus of the role is optimising resource utilisation, aligning capacity with demand, and maintaining visibility of workload across all disciplines.
Job Responsibility
Leading sustainable growth and the development and execution of the IDS strategy aligned to long-term business objectives
Define and continuously evolve the IDS organisational structure, including roles, reporting lines, and succession planning
Establish scalable service delivery models that integrate seamlessly with project teams
Drive capability growth across technical disciplines, project controls, document control and related disciplines
Coordinate IDS resource planning and allocation in line with business demand and project pipelines
Maintain visibility of current and future workload across all IDS disciplines
Monitor utilisation levels, identifying underutilised or overstretched resources and taking corrective action
Partner with team leads and project managers to align capability, availability, and delivery priorities
Support stakeholders in effectively accessing IDS resources and capabilities
Ensure IDS remains responsive, delivery-focused, and operationally efficient
Continue the development of an environment making the IDS team the ‘place to be’ supporting attraction and retention of team members
Lead, mentor, and support supervisors, and discipline leads within IDS
Provide practical leadership, including escalation support and decision-making guidance
Oversee recruitment, workforce planning, and interview processes to build a sustainable organisation
Support onboarding, integration, and development of new IDS team members
Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Enable strong technical communities and reach-back networks across disciplines
Manage the indirect cost pool and ensure effective utilisation across divisions
Drive productivity, operational efficiency, and delivery excellence through KPIs, metrics, and performance monitoring
Develop cost effective delivery models that maximise value for internal clients
Act as the interface between IDS and project teams, discipline leads, and leadership
Build strong relationships with project managers to understand delivery pressures and resource needs
Represent IDS in leadership forums, planning activities, and strategic discussions
Build credibility with both technical teams and business stakeholders through consistent delivery
Ensure all IDS outputs meet project requirements, quality standards, and client expectations
Oversee compliance with quality management, information security, and governance frameworks
Identify opportunities to expand IDS services into new sectors, markets, or disciplines
Promote IDS as a competitive advantage through high-quality, cost-efficient intelligent delivery capability
Support bids and major opportunities by providing scalable nearshore/offshore solutions
Requirements
A passion for and experience of transformational sustainable growth with background in Engineering, Project Management, Project Controls, matrix resource management or related discipline
Strong experience in resource coordination, workforce planning, and team leadership
Proven ability to work effectively with project managers and technical leads
A clear understanding of project delivery environments and associated pressures
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
Strong commercial awareness, including utilisation, cost management, and efficiency drivers
Ability to support and empower team leads without becoming a bottleneck
Credibility with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on operational excellence
