Job Description

The person on this role will be leading a team in delivering business solutions for clients, working very closely with offshore delivery and COE team. Among the core responsibilities are also: applying strategic and long-term analyses to client needs, meet service goals for company accounts including end to end accountability for service delivery and customer satisfaction. Leads end to end service delivery ensuring that specific objectives are met, reviews and resolves issues and problems related to staffing and estimating, client concerns, and operations. Creates alternative approaches, focusing on strategic or long-term approaches, for client needs as warranted. Collaborates with account teams, leverages use of innovation, works with account management teams and service delivery/COE resources to identify and develop solution opportunities and ensure appropriate implementation of customer solutions. Understands and articulates value propositions; understands and leverages operating models to ensure that appropriate, dedicated shared, on-site, off-site, offshore contractor, and company resources are available to meet client needs. Review with Solution Architects on design documents and find approach to translates into component-level designs to accelerate development. Ensure the project Delivery with design expertise in support of development team efforts to provide flexible reusable components to increase cost effectiveness. Analyzes, designs and reviews design of applications and suites of applications to ensure that customer specifications are satisfied. Acts as liaison between application architects and development teams to ensure that product development and implementation are coordinated. Works with product development teams and senior designers in developing design requirements that are accurate and relevant to company needs. Assists in reviewing and analyzing gathered information in technical research and in evaluating tools and methodologies to ensure that designs adhere to current industry, client and company standards. Develops and provides technical documentation; participates and oversees test-plan development, integration and deployment. Participates in business process work sessions, project meetings and joint applications development sessions to ensure that product design decisions are communicated to departmental personnel. Functions as a domain expert and works closely with software developers to explain the application design, and coordinates activities between the two functions to enhance product quality and efficiency. Utilizes experience in development methodologies, coding documentation, testing methodology and industry standards to define and develop project requirements, functional specifications and detailed design of application solutions for clients. Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. Guides the work of less experienced developers to create, maintain and communicate details of application designs to ensure that designs are according to specifications. Selects and hires employees. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Motivates and rewards employees including providing salary increases, bonuses and promotions within allocated budgets and company guidelines. Prepares, recommends and oversees development of operating and personnel budgets. Monitors spending for adherence to budget plans, develops and recommends variances. Performs and/or oversees budget analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, software engineering, computer science or related field preferred
  • 10 years of experience in leading a team is a must as this role is expected to lead at least 30+ headcount
  • Delivery and project experience in a Service Integrator Industry, Insurance Industry or Banking Environment (software related solution / services) is ideal
  • Experienced in managing customer and customer expectations and managing delivery timelines is a must
  • Experience working with software design, software development life cycle, and development methodologies and implementation
  • Experience working with company application development policies and procedures
  • Experience working with product systems design principles, appropriate programming languages, operating systems, hardware and software
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role
  • Proven experience in program and project management
  • Proficiencies in program planning, execution, and team leadership
