Job Description:

A specialist legal practice based in Nottingham is currently seeking an experienced Insurance Solicitor to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Insurance Solicitor to work on a diverse caseload with a firm known for its expertise in insurance litigation and regulatory matters. The role would suit an Insurance Solicitor with a strong background in handling insurance claims, coverage disputes, and advisory work for both claimant and defendant clients.

Job Responsibility:

Managing a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious insurance matters
Advising on policy interpretation
Handling litigation through the County and High Courts
Representing clients in arbitration and mediation
Supporting insurers and reinsurers with strategic advice
Liaising directly with underwriters, brokers, and corporate clients
Assisting with business development initiatives and client training programmes

Requirements:

Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales (2+ years PQE preferred)
Strong experience in insurance law, ideally within a dedicated insurance or commercial litigation team
Experience in policy wording, indemnity issues, and regulatory compliance advantageous
Solid understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant case law
Excellent analytical and drafting skills
A proactive, collaborative approach to client work
