Job Description:

Working with minimal supervision, this position analyzes, classifies and provides support in maintaining a database of insurance exposure information. The Insurance Services Representative supports day-to-day Insurance Operations work associated with commercially insured coverage lines and/or the Physician Insurance Program. Additionally, this position provides insurance support services to Facility insurance contacts, ERMGLeadership/staff and other national Groups. Insurance support services includes but isn't limited to; processing certificates of insurance requests, work associated with the annual insurance renewal process and online exposure database support.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provides support in analyzing, classifying and maintaining the integrity of CommonSpirit’s loss exposures in an online exposures database
  • Primary responsibility for issuance of certificates of insurance
  • Review insurance requirements section of contract/lease in order to issue self-insurance certificates and request commercial carrier certificates
  • Provides the initial underwriting review of new exposures/insurance applications
  • Handles routine requests for insurance information, including coverage verification and claim history requests
  • Supports annual renewal insurance process and submission for actuary and commercial insurance carriers
  • Supports working relationships with insureds, Facility staff/physician insurance contacts, Facility Risk Managers, commercial insurance representatives, and internal ERMG Leaders/staff

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience in healthcare insurance operations
