Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Insurance Follow Up Specialist/Charge Entry expert to join our team in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate data entry and charge processing for radiology services while maintaining a high standard of conduct. This is a long-term contract position designed for individuals with strong organizational skills and expertise in electronic medical records.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform accurate data entry tasks, including patient registration, demographic updates, and insurance information input
  • Process radiology charge entries with precision and verify the accuracy of all submitted batches
  • Reconcile completed batches to ensure audit compliance before moving on to the next assignment
  • Post charges promptly and efficiently, adhering to established protocols
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies or errors in data entry
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems to manage and update patient information
  • Demonstrate a high standard of conduct while interacting with patients and team members
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and procedures throughout the charge entry process
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency
  • Handle sensitive patient information with utmost confidentiality and security

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data entry, particularly in numeric and computer-based systems
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software is highly preferred
  • Strong typing skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Knowledge of insurance verification processes and medical billing procedures
