Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Insurance Defense Paralegal to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will support litigation efforts by managing case files, assisting with trial preparation, and ensuring the efficient organization of legal documents. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to complex civil litigation cases while working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage case files and organize legal documents using document management systems such as iManage
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, including compiling exhibits and coordinating discovery materials
  • Conduct detailed research and analysis related to civil litigation matters
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and motions, with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Coordinate discovery processes, including collecting and reviewing evidence
  • Support attorneys with case management tasks, ensuring deadlines and schedules are adhered to
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and legal teams to provide updates on case developments
  • Utilize case management software to track case progress and ensure proper documentation
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and protocols in all tasks performed

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a paralegal, preferably within insurance defense or civil litigation
  • Proficiency in using document management systems, such as iManage
  • Strong knowledge of discovery processes and trial preparation procedures
  • Familiarity with case management software and its application in legal workflows
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment
