We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our client's team on a contract basis in Portland, Oregon. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of insurance-related data, contributing significantly to system configuration and reporting efforts. Job Responsibility:
Gather, validate, and analyze insurance data, including claims, policies, exposures, and historical loss records
Identify data inconsistencies or gaps and perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness
Prepare structured datasets aligned with data mapping and upload requirements
Utilize advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data validation tools, to clean and transform large datasets
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and implementation teams to support accurate data migration processes
Provide analytical insights during user acceptance testing to ensure the system meets functional requirements
Document data processes and workflows to facilitate smooth system adoption and ongoing operations
Conduct audits and reporting to ensure compliance with insurance data standards
Offer clear and effective communication to stakeholders regarding data-related findings and updates
Contribute to the successful implementation of new systems by ensuring data readiness and reliability
Requirements:
Proven experience in data analysis, particularly within insurance or financial sectors
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data validation
Familiarity with data migration, mapping, and cleansing techniques
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve data inconsistencies
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and reporting findings
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of insurance claims, policies, and loss record data
Experience supporting user acceptance testing and system implementation processes
